Event Description
Why do ingroup members help outgroup strangers? Focusing on the case of Greece in the context of the Syrian refugee crisis, I study behavioral motivations of host community members who offered assistance to asylum seekers. Drawing on an in-depth analysis of behavioral patterns and their variations, I assert the importance of the type of intergroup contact in influencing prosocial actions.
