Workshop: Fifth Workshop in Literary Translation (Greek to English)
This workshop brings together six translators of Modern Greek literature for a day of collaborative problem-solving and intellectual exchange. The participants have varied levels of experience with translation: some have published extensively, others are just setting out, while most fall somewhere in between. This range of backgrounds will allow for fruitful mentoring as well as fresh perspectives on the task of translating literary works from a range of genres. The group will provide feedback on a current project by each participant. An evening reading will feature brief selections from these translations-in-progress.
