We invite you to (re-)join us for the next “Re-Imagining Byzantium” workshop, on Sunday, February 9, 11am-1pm, in Scheide Caldwell House, Room 103. Stefania Gerevini, of Bocconi University in Milan, will lead a discussion about Byzantium’s enduring and often fraught relationship to Venice, with the promising title of "Facing Crisis? San Marco, Venice and Byzantium in the fourteenth century.”
Attached you will find a pair of readings recommended by Prof. Gerevini as background to the discussion. We look forward to seeing many familiar, as well as new, faces. As per our custom, a light brunch will be on offer. Please RSVP to Eleni Banis (hbanis@princeton.edu) so we can get an estimate of the number of participants ahead of time.
