Sixth Translation Workshop: Modern Greek to English
Sixth Translation Workshop: Modern Greek to English
This annual workshop honors the intellectual legacy, acclaimed literary translations, and groundbreaking scholarly contributions of Professor Edmund Keeley. It is made possible with the support of the Edmund and Mary Keeley Modern Greek Studies Fund.
This workshop brings together five translators of Modern Greek literature for a day of collaborative problem-solving and intellectual exchange. The participants have varied levels of experience with translation: some have published extensively, others are just setting out, while most fall somewhere in between. This range of backgrounds will allow for fruitful mentoring as well as fresh perspectives on the task of translating literary works from a range of genres. The group will provide feedback on a current project by each participant.
