Kate Baxter

Kate has spent more than 20 years in higher education and non-profit in a variety of areas such as student services, alumni and advancement, diversity and inclusion programming and faculty affairs. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of Step Up, a national nonprofit focused on providing mentorship and access for girls and young women. She worked previously as assistant dean of the faculty at Princeton, as well as in roles at several academic institutions including Columbia University, New York University and University of Southern California. Kate holds a BA from Villanova University and an MA in student personnel administration from Teachers College at Columbia University; she earned her doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Southern California with a dissertation focused on the identity development of undergraduate women in the STEM fields.
